TEMPLE BETH SHOLOM

Women’s League of Temple Beth Sholom is for “women of all ages and women at all stages.”  WLTBS prides itself on being a multi-generational group, enabling all our members to take advantage of the best that each generation and each woman has to offer.​​
 

The mission of Women’s League of Temple Beth Sholom is to create a community of women who celebrate and perpetuate Conservative/Masorti Judaism in their life, home and synagogue.  Through support, tzedakah, education and observance, we reinforce our bonds with our Jewish community, Israel and Jews worldwide.​

WLTBS supports our synagogue family spiritually, materially and socially; it enriches its members with Jewish education, encourages religious observances, Jewish home practices, attendance at services and supports and encourages youth activities, affiliations (USY) and the Temple Beth Sholom schools.​

• WLTBS provides Bar/Bat Mitzvah gifts and supports the Audrey Merkin Memorial Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships to March of the Living participants.

• WLTBS supports the national Torah Fund Campaign, providing scholarships and facilities for future clergy and educators of our movement.

• WLTBS supports the Conservative/Masorti Movement throughout the world as well as special emergency assistance in the community and around the world.

• WLTBS is proud and pleased to offer our members a calendar full of fun opportunities to meet and share and learn, including Special Interest Groups (SIGs) for all interests and at all times.  We encourage every woman who is a member of Temple Beth Sholom to join WLTBS!

• WLTBS also provides a convenient place for Temple Beth Sholom members and the community to shop at the Schwartz Judaica Shop which stocks beautiful Judaica and gifts for all needs.

Today’s WL is answering the challenge of relevance for today’s Conservative/Jewish woman as well as spreading the geographic representation of its leadership, developing an educated Jewish laity and appealing to younger women. WL is as dedicated today, as it was when it was founded in 1918, to the creation of a vibrant American Jewish community that nurtures the family and community with the values of Jewish tradition.
 

Dues to WLTBS are $36.00 per year for Temple members and $50.00 per year for non-Temple members.  Dues Sponsorships are also available. Membership includes a subscription to Voices of Conservative/Masorti Judaism magazine, a weekly email blast, our monthly publication of The Vision, friends, fun and a 10% discount at the Schwartz Judaica Shop.
